Committees
Our committees take charge of important activities that keep us running!
For example, the Park Committee helps maintain the park and coordinates important services like grass-cutting. The Welcome Committee ensures new residents receive a warm welcome and helpful information about our community. And the Membership Committee tracks dues and keeps our member list up to date.

Adopt-a-Highway
Four times per year we pick up litter on our adopted roads, Lime Hollow Rd and Frankstown Rd. Keep an eye out for Oscar the Grouch signs and join us to keep our backyard ecosystem healthy!
Fundraising
We have 2-3 key fundraising events that volunteers organize.
Our MLK Luncheon in January involves a couple dozen volunteers to organize food, tables/chairs, and raffle baskets. This event routinely brings in $500+ towards association expenses.
Our annual plant sale involves coordinating orders with a local nursery and organizing pickup of plants for our customers. This event routinely brings $500+ towards park expenses.
Our Fall event sometimes serves as a fundraiser when we have a unique need. In 2024, we hosted a pulled pork sandwich event that brought in 80 orders and raised $2000 to help finish a drainage project in our sports court!
Programming
We offer many activities that remain free to the public thanks to the generosity of our neighbors. These activities include Reading in the Park, Volleyball, and Yoga.

Membership
All residents of the Crescent Hills neighborhood, homeowners and renters alike, are encouraged to join the Crescent Hills Civic Association.
We advocate on your behalf and keep you informed. We value all of our neighbors' inputs and ideas. Together we area a strong, vibrant community!
Membership dues are just $15 a year per household. Proceeds from the membership dues are used to support our lovely park, our newsletters and other endeavors throughout the year.

Donations
Our membership fees alone do not cover the cost of maintaining our community park. While open to the public, the park is privately-owned by our 501(c)4 non-profit organization and as such it receives to no assistance from the municipality of Penn Hills or any other sources to cover day-to-day expenses. We count on fund drives and fundraisers throughout the year to raise the money we need. Please consider making a donation via our membership form by clicking the link below:
